OpenTable Canadian plans, features and fee FAQ ↗

These independent brands are not affiliated with Magnified. Confirm current regional terms with the provider.

Start with the operating problem you want to solve

A restaurant choosing between systems should first define its priorities: running the room, supporting direct bookings, handling incoming calls or evaluating diner discovery. Those needs can lead to different purchasing decisions.

SeatPilot focuses on reservation, table and guest operations. The Magnified bundle connects CallPilot's phone conversation to that operational workflow. OpenTable also lists a diner-facing profile and network distribution in its Canadian plans.

Compare Canadian terms, not an unrelated regional price

OpenTable's official Canadian page requests a quote for Core and Pro. This page therefore does not substitute a US subscription price or invent a Canadian amount. Ask for the total applicable subscription, cover-fee and add-on terms for your restaurant.

Magnified's listed monthly prices are in CAD. No setup or per-reservation fees are listed for Magnified; call/SMS infrastructure usage should still be clarified for the proposed scope. A comparison of subscription amounts alone is not a complete cost assessment.

Use the same service scenario in both demos

Ask each provider to demonstrate a website booking, a phone booking, a walk-in and a reservation awaiting a guest response during the same service period. Check what the host sees, how the table is assigned and where exceptions go.

For several locations, repeat the availability question for two branches. For phone automation, ask which connection is actually supported and how a failed or exceptional request reaches staff.

  • Identify the authoritative booking record.
  • Review table and guest states during arrival.
  • Confirm channel-specific fees in writing.
  • Agree the implementation responsibilities before launch.

Choose the fit after the workflow review

The better fit depends on your restaurant's priorities and the demonstrated setup. A direct phone-to-host workflow may be central to one team, while another places more weight on a diner-discovery channel. This comparison does not declare an overall winner.

The table summarizes the cited public information, not a contract or an exhaustive feature audit. Availability, plan scope and commercial terms should be reconfirmed with each provider.
